Chivs86 Poetry - Pac & Biggie (R.I.P)

***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Introduction (Inpiration + Idea) -

My inspiration to write this poem was a recent article I read on Hip Hop DX.  It was an interview with Notorious B.I.G's friend, label mate, and Junior M.A.F.I.A member Lil Cease.  Somebody ever present in the 2pac & Notorious B.I.G rap beef, and basically what he said was that if certain people had just stayed out of it then the two rappers, most likely, would have made up with each other.  Something i believe, and I think if it weren't for certain people encouraging so much negative publicity then things could have been very different between two rappers who today are maybe regarded as two of the best that ever did it.  Two rappers whom will be sorely missed, and basically that's why I wrote this poem.

Chivs86 Poetry - Pac & Biggie (R.I.P)

R.I.P.
Both Pac and Big were true thugs.
2 different people
who had a  true love -
for Hip Hop,
because making music was their buzz,
 to get them going.
 Making music was their drug.

So why did -
everyone else just f**k it up?
The same colors -
so why would they both not be brothers?
and Is the industry c**ts or what -
because Hip Hop,
still wants to hear both BIG and Pac.

********************************

 What a flip flop,
it has become this Hip Hop,
 Sandals with a C -
all the Scandals that it's seen -
Are, making this American dream, a bit lost -
People been too busy tryna make it what it's not.

Like selling whole potatoes in a chip shop -
unheard of.
They've both died,
but we're still hearing their verses,
but what if that;
both of them had not been murdered ?
'Hit em up' was never made,
and BIG never heard it?

Would we still have all that good stuff to hear -
if the wrong people,
never got in 2pacs ear ?

And would of Nas still have said that Hip Hop Died -
If Cease was right & Pac & Big Reconciled?

Chopped it up after the Source Awards.
Got in the studio -
to record a song.
So imagine it
if today in Hip Hop
They both never got shot
R.I.P Big & Pac.

Chivs86 Poetry -
Farewell Oh Sheriff..

Befallen,
They chopped it down.
Our Sheriff has now left this town.
Lost his Place...
at The O.T public house,
Where he got rooted
up from the ground.

But is he gone
has he been muted
Is he dead,
Or has he just been moved.

Such an iconic object, a lot to lose
Somebody who quite well
I have knew.

For a long time now
Where has he gone -
the reason behind me writing this song?
The reason why that I'm feeling lost?
And the reason why that I don't know what -

has just happened!

It has but i'm thinking has it -
really disappeared off into the traffic?
The big man that was behind all the magic
for many happy small little kids.

Who down his big slide have slid,

Kept busy while their carers had a drink.

But now that this Tree has seen the door,.
Who wants to drink at the Tree anymore?

Without this big man of the law,

now a big empty space on the Orange Tree lawn.
